SMS Terms

These SMS Terms govern the text-messaging program operated by FORTUNA Auctioneers & Appraisers (“FORTUNA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By opting in to receive text messages from FORTUNA, you agree to these SMS Terms.
1. Program description
If you opt in, FORTUNA — including messages sent by our executive assistant, Chloe — will send you service and transaction text messages related to your consignment, such as item-received confirmations, consignment status and next-step updates, shipping and scheduling coordination, and replies to questions you send us. This is a transactional, customer-care program. It is not a marketing program.
2. How to opt in
You opt in by checking the separate SMS consent box and providing your mobile number on our valuation/consignment form at fortunaauction.com, or by otherwise expressly agreeing to receive text messages from us. Consent is not a condition of any valuation, sale, or service.
3. Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your consignment activity.
4. Cost
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. FORTUNA does not charge for the messages themselves.
5. Opt out
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you opt out, we will send a single confirmation and then stop sending text messages to that number. You may also contact us using the details below to opt out.
6. Help

7. Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Privacy
Your information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not share, sell, or rent mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in/consent information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Numbers collected for SMS are used only to send the messages you have requested and are shared only with our SMS delivery provider as needed to deliver them.

We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent version.
