Refer a Buyer, Seller, or Collector

Some of our best clients come to us through people they already trust. When your introduction becomes a qualifying FORTUNA relationship, you may earn a referral reward — and the person you refer may be eligible for a preferred first-time client benefit, when appropriate.

Make an Introduction

Some of the best introductions we receive go in both directions: a friend who’s been collecting for years, or a family quietly considering what to do with an inheritance. We make space for both.

Refer a Buyer or Collector

Know a collector or aspiring buyer who’d value FORTUNA’s curation? Introduce them and they may be eligible for a preferred first-time client benefit on their first transaction, when appropriate. When they engage with FORTUNA through a qualifying purchase, winning bid, or approved new client relationship, you may earn a referral reward.

Refer a Seller or Consignor

Know someone with pieces they’re considering selling — an inheritance, a collection no longer worn, or an estate that needs guidance? Introduce them and they may be eligible for a first-transaction courtesy when appropriate. When they engage FORTUNA through a qualifying consignment or estate relationship, you may earn a referral reward.

You May Earn a Referral Reward

When your introduction becomes a qualifying FORTUNA relationship — a consignment that closes, a winning bid, an estate engagement, a qualifying purchase, or an approved new client relationship — you may earn a referral reward. Where appropriate, the person you referred may also be eligible for a first-time client benefit. Specifics are reviewed and confirmed by FORTUNA before any reward or benefit is issued.

A Win-Win Introduction

Every successful introduction creates value in three directions.

For You

Earn a referral reward when your introduction becomes a qualifying FORTUNA relationship. Rewards are arranged personally and confirmed by FORTUNA in writing.

For Them

A preferred first-time client benefit, first-transaction courtesy, or buyer or seller consideration — tailored to their situation when appropriate, and communicated directly by the FORTUNA team.

For FORTUNA

A welcomed new buyer, seller, collector, or estate client. The trust your introduction conveys helps each relationship start on the right footing.

A Note for Professionals

Attorneys, appraisers, financial advisors, fiduciaries, and other professionals: your professional and ethical obligations to your clients always come first. Some jurisdictions and professional bodies restrict or prohibit the acceptance of referral compensation, particularly for legal and fiduciary professionals. FORTUNA will not provide compensation in any form that would conflict with your professional obligations. We work with many trade partners and estate professionals under arrangements tailored to each relationship — please contact us directly to discuss what works for your situation.

What You Receive

When your introduction becomes a qualifying FORTUNA relationship — a consignment that closes, a winning bid, an estate engagement, a qualifying purchase, or an approved new client relationship — you may earn a referral reward. Where appropriate, the person you introduced may also be eligible for a preferred first-time client benefit or first-transaction courtesy.

Specific recognition is arranged personally between FORTUNA and the introducer, subject to FORTUNA’s review and written approval. We don’t publish a fixed reward schedule because every introduction is different — and we believe it’s worth treating it that way.

Qualifying introductions will also be recognized within the FORTUNA Client Circle — our invitation-oriented recognition and privileges program — as it is introduced. Professionals who refer in the course of their work may prefer the FORTUNA Partner Program.

About the Referral Program

What constitutes a “qualifying” FORTUNA relationship or transaction — and whether a referred-party benefit will be offered, in what form, and on what terms — is determined by FORTUNA in its sole discretion. Any benefit offered to the person you refer is communicated to them directly by FORTUNA and is subject to FORTUNA’s terms.

Recognition for successful introductions is offered at the sole discretion of FORTUNA Auction LLC (“FORTUNA”). FORTUNA evaluates each introduction individually and confirms any specific recognition in writing prior to issuance. No specific reward, fee, commission, or other compensation is promised, guaranteed, or earned merely by submitting this form, and FORTUNA reserves the right to decline any referral at any time and for any reason.

FORTUNA may require completion of an IRS Form W-9 prior to issuing any cash recognition, and may report compensation on IRS Form 1099 where applicable.

Attorneys, appraisers, financial advisors, fiduciaries, and other professionals: your professional and ethical obligations to your clients take precedence over any referral arrangement. Many jurisdictions and professional bodies restrict or prohibit the acceptance of referral compensation by professionals — particularly with respect to legal and fiduciary matters. FORTUNA will not provide compensation in any form that would conflict with your professional obligations. Please consult your applicable bar, professional body, or compliance counsel before accepting any recognition under this program.

Self-referrals are not eligible. FORTUNA may refuse or recoup recognition if a referral appears fraudulent, duplicative, self-serving, or made in bad faith. By submitting a referral, you confirm that you have the right to provide the referred party’s contact information — either through a personal relationship with them or their prior consent to be contacted by FORTUNA.

Recognition is typically paid by check or ACH within 60 days of qualifying transaction settlement, subject to applicable hold periods (such as buyer return windows or escrow releases). The program is offered where legally permitted. FORTUNA reserves the right to modify or terminate the Referral Program at any time. Void where prohibited.
