Ulysse Nardin was founded in 1846 in Le Locle, Switzerland. They specialized in marine chronometers, creating highly accurate timepieces for ships. This is the inspiration for the Marine line of the 2000s. The present example is highly complicated, including a chronograph and an annual calendar with a big date display. The style is a mixture of new and old, with a classic dial and case and a modern-looking rubber and steel strap.
