Patek Philippe’s Ellipse models were first released in 1968. The design was inspired by the principle of the “golden section” discovered by ancient Greek mathematicians; the ideal proportion expressed as a ration of 1/1.6180. The present reference is a Grande Ellipse, the larger version of the model maintained in excellent condition with its original Patek Philippe strap and buckle. A beautiful example.
