Hamilton made watches for the UK Ministry of Defense. The chronograph they produced for the RAF in the early 1970s is a design icon. The asymmetric case with integrated crown guards, stark black dial with oversized subregisters, and signature broad arrow on the dial are some of the design features that make this military watch so desirable. The present carefully preserved example dates from 1970.
