Eberhard is famous for making a line of oversized chronographs in the 1930s and 1940s with in-house movements. The Pre-Extra Fort models are very interesting, essentially a single-button chronograph with a slider at 4:00 that acts as a brake for the chronograph mechanism. This configuration provides the stop and resume functionality associated with a two-button chronograph. The present example has an extremely attractive case with angled lugs and a dial with exquisite creamy patina.
